At Eternity's Gate (Re-creation) is a re-creation of a portrait by Vincent van Gogh. Painted primarily in acrylic with subtle oil pastel details, the piece was inspired by Vincent van Gogh.
The fluidity of the medium allowed me to create soft, bleeding edges that mirror the sensation of mist rolling over the hills, while sharper, more defined brushstrokes were used to ground the composition and guide the viewer’s eye.
