The Moon is an exploration of transformation and the fleeting nature of the changing seasons. Painted primarily in watercolour with subtle ink details, the piece was inspired by the juxtaposition of decay and vibrant colour found in late October landscapes.
The fluidity of the medium allowed me to create soft, bleeding edges that mirror the sensation of mist rolling over the hills, while sharper, more defined brushstrokes were used to ground the composition and guide the viewer’s eye.
